A large sculpture of Bernard Matemera for sale of our private collection.

For many years I was dreaming of once buying a real Bernard Matemera but never could find one available on the market. Till one day we visited the world famous gallery of  Roy Guthrie the  “Chapungu Sculpture Park” in Harare Zimbabwe but found the gallery closed. We knew many sculptors working at the gallery and asked them what happened. The gallery was bankrupt. We walked around at the premises and in a corner we found this statue lying on the ground. We found the trustee and  my wife was so nice to give me this statue for my birthday 🙂
